Rocky shore visit

We had a great time at the Island Bay Marine Centre and rocky shore today. We got to go into the aquarium room and look at lots of interesting animals. We also got to touch animals in the touch pool. That was very exciting! We used flat hands and careful fingers to hold the starfish, crabs, sea anemones and sea cucumbers. Some of us even got to pat and feed a turtle!

Then we went down to the rocky shore and explored, lifting up rocks and hunting for any creatures we could find.

We finished the day off with lunch and a play at the playground. It was so much fun! Thanks to all the parent helpers who came with us.

  1. What a fun day we had Room 12. It looks like you had a great time exploring and touching all the sea creatures. I certainly learnt some new information and hope you did too.
